• If you ever do get a strike against your account, make sure to appeal it.

What To Do If Your YouTube Channel Gets A Strike Against It

If you’ve received a strike against your account, you’ll usually get a message from YouTube telling you that one or more of your videos have breached their terms of service and that your channel or your whole account has been penalized.

Usually they’ll give you the option to appeal…so make sure you do – the video above gives a walk-through of how you can do this.

The ideal obviously is to not get strikes against your account in the first place…!

How To Avoid Getting YouTube Strikes

If you’re doing a lot of “launch jacking” and review videos, having a fully fleshed-out channel that also includes higher value content (training videos, tutorials…anything that shows you’re giving something useful to the YouTube community) will make a big difference in helping your channel avoid getting any serious penalties or strikes.

• Fill out your YouTube channel description and upload a picture to represent your channel (“Channel Art”).
• Add a channel intro video for any new visitors to your channel.
• Set up playlists within your channel and place your higher value content at the top so it’s the first thing people see.
• If you’re mainly using your channel to post review videos, remove the “Most Recently Uploaded” section from your channel.

Doing all these things will not just help protect your channel but also help you attract more subscribers, strengthen your “brand” and build a loyal following, which all makes a big difference in both growing an authority channel and in improving your conversion rates.

Getting Your Posts Indexed By The Search Engines

Once you’ve published your blog post, you’ll want to make sure that it gets indexed by the search engines, i.e. that the search engines’ bots or “spiders” find it and add it to their index…if your posts aren’t getting indexed, any backlinks you’ve built into them won’t be found and will have no effect.

A quick way to check if your post has been indexed by, say Google for example, is to just paste the URL of your post (the post’s “permalink”) into the Google search bar and see if your post appears in the search results.

Another way is to type “info:” followed by your permalink (with no spaces, e.g. info:http://permalink.com).

If your post doesn’t appear in the results, you know it hasn’t been indexed (yet).

Indexing can take anything from a couple of minutes to several days if you leave it purely to the search engines, so you can speed it up by manually by submitting the URL’s of your posts directly to the search engines via their Webmaster Tools pages…

Here’s how to submit a URL to Google and Bing:

• Google: https://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/submit-url
• Bing: http://www.bing.com/toolbox/submit-site-url

Although the search engines do have a disclaimer saying there’s no guarantee that this will get your posts indexed faster, in most cases it does.

Social Embeds For SEO

As we talked about at the start of this section, getting your videos shared on the various social media platforms out there tells the search engines that people like your content…so they rank it accordingly.

Obviously the ideal is to create videos that are so amazingly awesome that thousands of people do actually want to share them…but in the meantime, a good way to get things
going in the right direction is to share them yourself

There are tons of social media sites out there but below are a few of the main ones that you can create (new) accounts with to share your videos to (we wouldn’t recommend using any existing personal accounts you may have for this):

• Facebook
• Twitter
• Google
• Pinterest
• Reddit
• StumbleUpon
• LinkedIn
• MySpace
• Instagram
• Flickr

Once you’ve shared your video to these sites, if you want you can also submit the permalinks for these posts to the search engines, in exactly the same way as shown in the last video on how to get backlinks from blogs.

Using High Authority Blogging Sites to Market your Video

High Authority Blogging Sites

There are loads of blogging platforms out there that you can use to create backlinks to your videos. Some of the best known, higher authority ones are:

• WordPress
• Blogger
• GoogleSites
• Tumblr
• Livejournal
• Weebly

All of these blogging sites are free to use.

Even WordPress, which is by far the most widely used blogging platform out there, has hundreds of free themes (templates) to choose from if you don’t want to splash out on one of their paid ones…

Anchor Text & Contextual Backlinks

When you’re creating backlinks from all these blogs to your videos, make sure to vary the anchor text you use.

Anchor text is the words or phrases that you create your links from, also known as “contextual backlinks”.

While it’s important to use anchor text that’s relevant to your keywords, avoid using the exact same words for each link as this looks unnatural to the search engines and will have a negative impact on your ranking.

Once you’ve created your blogging accounts you can then post spun versions of your article (e.g. spun versions of your YouTube description) to each of them, including a couple of back links to your video.

It helps if you can use different links to your video for this – as with most SEO, the more variety the better.

To do this you can use the long-tail YouTube URL for one backlink and the short-tail URL (the one starting “https://you.be”) for the other. Two backlinks per post is plenty…any more than that will look unnatural and will likely have a negative effect on your ranking.

DoFollow vs NoFollow Links

Although all your backlinks will send people to your video if they click on them, some links, known as “nofollow links” don’t actually allow the search engines to follow them when their spiders are crawling the web to see what pages they’re linking to…

This basically means nofollow links generally don’t have as much impact on your ranking since they don’t provide any “link juice” to your target video.

If you have any links that you want to make sure are nofollow it’s really easy to do – this tutorial shows you how.

Nofollow links can be useful though, especially if your blog post/article includes an important link to a separate site that you don’t want to pass any link juice to…

For example: if you include a link to the sales page of a product you’re reviewing, you might want to use a nofollow link for that.  That way people can still check out the reference to the product you’re talking about but you’re not wasting any link juice on boosting that page’s ranking instead of yours…

Bear in mind though – most SEO experts say that having dofollow links to useful, relevant third party content will also help give you more credibility in the eyes of the search engines, which will also help with your ranking.

Google’s algorithms are changing all the time so our best advice here is to experiment and see what works best for you…

Off Page Optimization - Using IBO Toolbox and IBO Tube

IBO Toolbox

IBOToolbox.com is a great free platform for Independent Business Owners. It has a ton of very cool features – from regular training webinars, targeted advertising, outsourcing

resources and website builders, to press release syndication and video upload functions.

It’s free to join and has a huge community where you can interact with other like-minded internet marketers and entrepreneurs, so well worth checking out…

IBO Toolbox Press Releases

One particularly cool feature of IBO Toolbox is the ability to create Press Releases which they then fire out to a number of article submission sites.

IBO’s Press Release system is tied in closely with the major search engines like Google, Yahoo and Bing…which means that anything you post there can be found by the search engines almost immediately.

IBO Toolbox Press Releases not only tend to get indexed by the search engines very quickly and rank very well, but also have a lot of authority which means any backlinks to your videos will also help your videos’ ranking enormously.

You’ll want to watch the video above to see step-by-step how it’s done but, in a nutshell, you need to paste a spun version of your article/press release (you can use a spun version of the text you used in the Description section of your YouTube post) into the “Content Editor” box in IBO Toolbox’s Press Release section…

Then complete the other fields – “Press Release Title”, “Your Website Link” (the link to your YouTube video, not the link to your main site) and “Keywords” – and then click the “Content Is Authentic” option and click on the two boxes below in the IBO Rules Check section before clicking “Publish”.

The Content Editor, where you’ve pasted the spun version of your article, allows you to highlight your keywords inside the text and make them link back to your YouTube video.

The key here is not to overdo it and to vary the anchor text that you use (“anchor text” is just the word(s) that you highlight when you create the backlink to your video).

Ideally you want to create one backlink to your long tail YouTube URL and another to the short URL of your video, which you can find in the Video Editor section of your YouTube channel when you’re editing your video (it’s the URL that looks like this: https://youtu.be/LettersAndNumbers)…using different anchor text to go with each URL.

Example: you could create a backlink from “Product X” to your long-tail YouTube URL (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LettersAndNumbers) and another one from “Product X review” to your short YouTube URL (https://youtu.be/LettersAndNumbers).

The power of these IBO Press Releases is pretty amazing – it’s not uncommon for articles you post to actually rank on the first page of Google in their own right…

So as well as the SEO they give to help your video rank, they also help you by getting your content in front of even more people, even if they never even see your video.

At the end of the day…traffic’s traffic, right?

IBOTube

IBO Toolbox also has a section called IBOTube which allows you to either upload or embed videos. This can also give a great boost to your video SEO.  

To embed a video, all you need to do is copy and paste your YouTube video’s URL into the box provided and click “Fetch Info” – this will then auto-populate the Title and Description boxes.

NOTE: IBOTube only allows 2000 characters in the Description field…so if your YouTube description was longer than that, you’ll need to trim it down otherwise the end will be automatically removed.

You can then enter a few keywords in the “Tags” field, separated by commas and spaces, choose whatever Category you feel is most appropriate, set Privacy to “Public” and then click Submit.

You can also add your YouTube videos to your Profile section in IBO Toolbox – they will then show up on your IBO profile as well as get picked up by the search engines.

Martin Clayton must be a pathological liar since the Binary Brain Trust is certainly a SCAM! Read this review if you are considering to join the Binarybraintrust.com software. Unlike some of the fake reviews or email invitations you might have seen, we always go straight to the facts! Let’s start with the alleged “Martin Clayton” who presents himself as the Founder & Chairman.

Here is the first issue I have with Binary Brain Trust, this website was created earlier on March 2016, based on one of our favorite websites, Whois Lookup. Martin Clayton claims that he created this app 5 years ago. Furthermore, I couldn’t find any reference to Mr. Clayton anywhere you’d normally locate an individual, such as Linkedin, Google and Facebook, yet he only exists in the realm of these obvious scam reviews not surprisingly.

According to this fake narrative, Binary Brain Trust generated millions of dollars to day-traders around the world. If this was the case, we would really see a major buzz on real news sites, forums and portals but Binarybraintrust.com is a toddler app and most definitely resembles the typical scam operations we review and expose.

Luckily the scam sites have common attributes, it’s hard to miss the deceptive “22 Spots Remaining” widget, the most over-used pressure tactic we’ve seen and obviously the Spots and Urgency type widgets are all bogus and fishy. Refresh the page, or visit the Binarybraintrust.com fraud in a few days and you’ll see the same exact BS.

I can't find the evidence that members managed to generate 7 figures using the Binary Brain Trust? The fake Bank of America snapshots are not very convincing, considering that we’ve seen it used by scam sites over and over. In reality you won’t find the slightest evidence to support the existence of Martin Clayton or the validity and performance of this option trading software. Risking your money with what appears to be a ‘Money-Making Scheme’ and especially after reading this review, would be a big mistake that you might regret.
